If your UCSD ID gives you access to the Atkinson Hall meeting rooms you can reserve the room directly through EMS.But if you do not have access to EMS, or to request a recurring meeting (e.g. a weekly meeting "every Monday at 4 PM"), please contact email@example.com and a reservation will be created for you. Please know that this email is monitored periodically, so your request could take a couple of days to be addressed.
Request use of Events spaces.
Just because a space is available does not mean that your request will automatically be approved. Please be refrain from planning, advertising before receiving confirmation! Check for space availability
All activities in Atkinson Hall activity spaces and meeting rooms must comply with Atkinson Hall policies. Weekend events are not currently possible due to staffing issues. QI EMS Accounts
If you are UCSD staff or faculty and your UCSD ID provides you with access to Atkinson Hall meeting rooms you can request an individual QI EMS account. This account lets you make you own one-off, non-recurring reservations and is particularly useful if you frequently make one-off reservations. To request an account select MyAccount>Create An Account from the main menu QI EMS accounts are not available to students. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for all other requests.

Size and availabilityReservations within 60 days - reservations must be made using a self-service account.
Reservations for recurring meetings or >60 days in the future - a request must be made using a self-service account. Your request will be reviewed and a notification of approval or rejected will be sent to your email account (future-use reservation requests are available to Atkinson Hall faculty and staff self-service account holders only).
A self-service account can be requested from the My Home tab (self-service accounts are available to UCSD faculty and non-student staff only).
QI charges standard space-utilization recharge rates for meeting room reservations lasting longer than 4 hours (per day per group). You may request approval for this as managed use by submitting a request for event services.
UCSD faculty and non-student staff may request a QI EMS self-service account. Requests can be submitted from the My Home tab above.

01Once you are signed in, click the "create a reservation" icon on the left side of the menu.
02Click "book now" with the request for event template.
03Fill out the required fields - date, start, and end time, then click "search."
04Select your choice of event space. All reservations will contain PFA*.
*Pre-function area is the indoor lobby adjacent ot the Auditorium and Theater.
05Enter the estimated number of attendees, then "Add Room."
06Confirm or adjust information, then click "Next Step."
07If you are requesting audio visual services, click on the appropriate service(s).
08If selected, the value should be 1 regardless of service. Then click "OK."
09Confirm or adjust information, then click "Next Step."
10Complete the required fields:
Reservation Name (Event Name)
Primary Contact's Phone
Primary Contact's Email
Funding Source (optional)
Review the information, if you have not already filled out the Event Intake Form, you will have to complete after your reservation is confirmed. Acknowledge you have read the terms and conditions, and create the reservation.
